I faced an unexpected and pleasant experience at the Imagine store in Alwarpet, Chennai, which is an Apple reseller. I have visited this store several times and other Apple stores in different parts of Chennai, UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, and the UK. However, in many of these stores, I often observed a sense of superiority in their attitude while dealing with customers.
During my recent visit to the Alwarpet store, I went there simply to purchase wired headphones. The team member who assisted me was polite and professional. While interacting with her, I asked if she could help update the software on my Apple Watch Series 9, as I was unable to do it myself. Usually, I would expect to be redirected to a service center for such requests, as it’s not a part of their responsibility in a sales outlet. To my surprise, she helped me update the software herself, quickly and efficiently.
I was truly impressed by her willingness to go beyond her regular duties to assist a customer. Her attitude and approach stood out and are exactly the kind of qualities we need to foster in our service industry to take it to world-class standards.
Her name is Monica, and I believe her efforts deserve recognition. I hope this feedback helps her as an employee and inspires others in similar roles.
